David Gatt has a passion for teaching all aspects of hair design. With 25 years experience he has participated in numerous hair shows; Master Jam On Tour, Aveda Congress, NAHA, and has also helped produce multiple fashion shows and photo-shoots, coach training and hosted several technical workshops at Academies and Salons internationally. For the past 16 years, David has developed his skills and quickly became a Master Educator at one of the leading salons in New Mexico and he is known within our industry as an elite hair stylist and educator. Throughout his career he has had an opportunity to develop curriculum for advanced cutting techniques for; Curly Hair cutting, Dry Hair cutting and Men’s Hair cutting. Utilizing methods acquired through Aveda, Arrojo, Toni and Guy, and Redken he has developed his teaching style by always being approachable, which keeps David busy as a Master Stylist, and sought after as an educator. Opportunities to test and help develop products for a leading manufacturer have also been inspirational.

Jason Smith has over 17 years experience in the industry who has constantly strived to improve his skills and technical abilities through continued education and working with a leading Top 200 Salon in New Mexico. He became recognized and was promoted to Master Educator within the company and taught Advanced Haircutting and Hair Color placement techniques. As he continues to push his creativity he is inspired by helping others to see their own potential and commands perfection with every step. After 20 years in the industry, including successful stints with Wella and Bumble and Bumble, he opened Arrojo Studio in Manhattan in 2001. In 2002 Nick became the hairdressing host for What Not To Wear. With 8 million viewers tuned in every week, it became TLC’s #1 show, making Nick an American household name. Nicks work has graced fashion magazines of the world on countless occasions. He is a regular stylist at New York fashion shows, and regular guest for hair-related news stories on the ABC and NBC TV Networks.

An acclaimed stylist, educator, and leading light in the business, Nick’s ground-breaking approach to hairstyling in particular his signature razor-cutting technique is recognized worldwide. Renowned as a world-class hair cutter and educator, he taught at global shows and seminars with the Vidal Sassoon Academy and Paul Mitchell The School, before taking the prestigious position of Aveda Artistic Director. In this role, Gerard shaped the Aveda curriculum, cementing his place as a visionary hairdresser, at the forefront of new trend and techniques. Adam Federico is a dynamic and forward-thinking innovator, who has played a meaningful role in the beauty industry for the last 20 years. He fuels his imagination with inspiration from raw, minimalistic design, natural elements and the juxtapositions found within each. Adam believes in working with the organic movement of the hair and employs a free flowing, yet structured technique to his craft.

Adam maintains involvement in all aspects of his trade with credits including salon owner, stylist and creative director at both AJF Salon and Federico. With family roots that are deeply embedded in over 65 years of educating cosmetologists, he has devoted himself to giving and receiving knowledge. Adam’s most recent achievement is an expansive advanced-education facility. In conjunction with Federico, he is presenting leading artists and educators in his Northern California center. He has traveled internationally, educating both independently and with some of the industry’s most significant influencers, such as ARROJO and Sebastian.

Stephen founded Moxie Salon in Minneapolis in 1999 and opened a second location in St. Paul in 2005.
